What it actually is

Claude Corps is a national fellowship from Anthropic, the company behind Claude. You spend a full year inside a mission-driven nonprofit, helping them adopt AI across real work: workforce programs, public health, housing, food security, veterans services, education.

You are trained intensively on Claude at the start, then get five hours of ongoing training every week while you work. You are employed and paid by CodePath (the nonprofit running the program with Anthropic), so this is a real salaried job, not a stipend or an internship.

Do you qualify

✓ 18 or older with fewer than two years of full-time work experience

✓ No degree required. There is no education requirement at all

✓ Comfortable using AI tools and eager to learn on the job

✓ Able to commit to a full-time, in-person, 12-month placement in the US

Read this before you apply:
You need US work authorization that does not depend on employer sponsorship and stays valid for the full year. Student statuses like F-1 OPT and STEM OPT, and sponsored statuses like H1-B1 and TN, do not qualify. If you are outside the US without that authorization, this cohort is not open to you.

What you would work on

Fellows are matched to one nonprofit for the year and build the systems that org actually needs. Common focus areas:

  • Workforce development
  • Public health
  • Housing
  • Food security
  • Veterans services Education

How to stand out

  1. Don't just say you're comfortable with Claude. Build something small and real, a volunteer scheduler or a donor thank-you flow, and reference it.
  2. Finish Anthropic's free Academy courses (AI Fluency, Claude 101). Completing them before you apply is a clear signal you're serious.
  3. Pick a cause you actually care about and say why. They want drive for real impact, not polished corporate answers.
  4. A thin resume is fine here. The program is built for under two years of experience, so lead with what you've made and learned, not titles.
